The SL5 Snap Lock Punch is designed for creating tabs to lock vinyl plastic skirting and siding to finishing trim. It raises a high projection to compensate for the natural relaxation of vinyl plastic, and can also be used on aluminum siding. However, it is not recommended for use on steel. Please note that the SL5 should not be used when PERMATABS are required to snap into finished trim. For this application, it is recommended to use the Malco SL1R or SL2R Snap Lock Punch. The SL5 Snap Lock Punch can be used to make tabs in vinyl skirting or on the cut edge of siding to lock into utility trim. Its high tab projection compensates for the natural relaxation of vinyl plastic. Spring return handles with vinyl cushioned grips offer comfort and ease of operation. This tool snap locks plastic skirting and siding to finish trim by creating a tab in the cut edge of the siding panel. It creates secure locking tabs in vinyl siding and is made in the USA.
