The N1R notcher is designed for making a clean 30° 'V' shaped cut in sheet metal, with a maximum throat depth of 13/16 in. (20.6 mm). The upper cutting jaw is made of drop forged high impact alloy steel, with a hook design that facilitates notching corners or take-off tabs to the desired depth without slipping. The long-wearing, hardened stamped steel components feature rust-resistant nickel plate and black oxide finishes. The ergonomic Redline Handles feature a unique one-hand operation latch offering maximum compound leverage performance and a natural fit and feel. The handle opening of Malco's REDLINE gripped tools maximizes the powerful leverage of compound head-to-handle linkage while providing a more comfortable operating range for your hand.
