Malco AV8 Aviation Snip

This left-cutting snip features forged steel jaws set at a 90-degree angle, allowing for easier gripping while cutting sheet metal in tight spaces or overhead. The operator can make tight circular or square pattern left cuts with either a pushing or pulling motion. The snip is equipped with a serrated edge on the upper jaw and compound head-to-handle linkage, providing powerful, non-slip leverage for cutting up to 24-gauge (0.61 mm) cold rolled steel or 28-gauge (0.38 mm) stainless. The handles have non-slip, cushion inserts, torsion-spring action, and a squeeze-open, side operated latch for added comfort and control.

To promote long service life, the snip is constructed with rust-resistant polished forged steel jaws and black oxide finished handle stampings. It also features a traditional design, alloy steel blades, and torsion handle spring, as well as a side latch. The snip is designed for vertical left cuts and has a red straight handle with a 1-3/8 in. (34.9 mm) cut length. Additionally, the alloy steel blades have serrated lower jaws, providing solid gripping power in sheet metals, and the snip can easily be used in tight spaces and overhead.
